Yet Another Reason Not to Sign Kyoto

My brother just sent me this great site which has some interesting information on the myths of global warming. I think Al Gore should take a look before he gives his next speech on the coldest day of the year. Just a few of his entries:
Current warming simply a natural variation, says advisor to President Putin – Feb 3, 2005 - "President Putin was under great pressure to sign the Kyoto protocol,” said Dr Andrei Illarionov, economic adviser to the Russian president, “and Russia did so because we like to be friends with Europe , not because we believe in the science of climate change. (Interestingly, this statement was buried in an article warning of the dangers of global warming.) "Anyone who is frightened about the prospect of global warming is welcome to come and live in Siberia ."

Europe enduring one of the coldest winters of this century - Feb 11, 2005

Average annual temperatures have declined more than 10ºF during the past 40 years in many states, including Mississippi, Texas, Ohio, Alabama, Missouri, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Indiana, Florida, Arkansas, Georgia, and Kentucky.

This may not sound like a very big deal. But look at Washington state. Although Seattle was buried beneath 4,000 feet of ice during the last ice age, temperatures in southern Washington were only 4º - 5ºF colder than today. A 10ºF decline is huge. A 10ºF decline is the difference between an ice age and not an ice age.
