Plans for Post-Invasion Iraq
Doug Feith has a new book called War and Decision, which is a firsthand account of the planning and decision making that went into going into Iraq. Contrary to the MSM version, the U.S. did have a plan for post-war Iraq, but the State Department vetoed those plans. (Yes, that State Dept. that still has many anti-Bush folks that have been working to undermine the President his entire term.)
In hindsight, it helps clarify why many Democrats were so fond of Paul Bremer (I recall John Kerry speaking very kindly of Bremer when Bush appointed him, which is very unusual for Democrats). Powerline has a bit more about the Defense vs. State post-war Iraq decision.
