Uproar Over Milton Friedman Center for U of C?

I guess this is not what universities intend when they proclaim to "celebrate diversity."

The announcement of a privately-funded Milton Friedman Center at the University of Chicago has apparently caused an uproar with 100 faculty members at the school, because the center might actually profess beliefs that Friedman believed in, ie. free markets and capitalism. And as everyone knows, universities much prefer the dynamics of a socialist or Marxist system.

Milton Friedman is by far the best thing that ever happened to the University of Chicago (although the Obamas might think otherwise, given their relationship with the school). Frankly, the school doesn't deserve his name to be associated with it.
