Laissez Faire Not to Blame

We keep hearing Obama & Co. say that free market capitalism has failed. But as Cafe Hayek points out, no one with a clean conscience can possibly believe that we haven't had significant government interference (ie. Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac). This quote sums it up best:

To blame laissez faire for today's economic crisis is akin to blaming the human body's natural and normal functioning for the illness suffered by someone who's overdosing on heroin.
