The Good News...
Congratulations to Obama, the first affirmative action president in the history of the U.S. There is a little bit of good news. For example:
1) There will never be another election where Liberals are allowed to complain about rich people "buying elections." That issue is gone after Obama spent $650 million, from both here and from foreign sources and spending 4x as much as McCain and as much as Bush-Kerry combined.
2) The GOP no longer has a liberal/moderate as its standard bearer. McCain would have been responsible for passing several bad policies, so at least now Obama will be credited for destroying what was once the strongest economy in the world.
3) Israel can now take care of the Iranian problem. They will not wait for Obama to be sworn in to leave the job to him.
4) The media has shown the world that there is no such thing as objective journalism; they are merely cheerleaders.
5) The media reminded Republicans that you can try as hard as you want to be well-liked, but at the end of the day, the GOP cannot out-liberal a liberal.
6) Conservatism is still more popular than liberalism. Obama campaigned as a tax-cutting conservative, which is why most Americans were convinced that he is more likely than McCain to cut taxes. As is usual, conservative ideas win out.
7) It could be worse - you could be a member of the military that has to wake up and salute a man who has spent the last few decades of his life hating and condemning everything you represent.
That probably does it for the good news - if I missed anything, please let me know.
