Soda Taxes Being Proposed By "Experts"

Health and nutrition "experts" are proposing a 1 cent tax on all soda....1 cent per ounce, that is. This means that for a 12 oz. can of soda that costs about .25 (based on a 12-pack cost of $3), this amounts to 12 cents per can or a whopping 48% tax.

I have a better, more comprehensive plan if these "experts" really want to fight obesity. Let's cut out the tax on food and just tax the people themselves that are overweight. So if you are over 200 pounds, you owe Obama $1000 per year. Over 250 pounds, you owe Obama $1500 per year, etc.

This is the same result - of course, this proposal would just show Americans how ridiculous this money-grabbing plan is. What role is it of the government if someone's skinny or fat anyway? I thought we were supposed to appreciate people's bodies just as they are, fat, squishy and all. (This will obviously change if Obamacare passes, where he can then say that everything to do with one's health is the business of the state.)
