Democrat Stimulus Bill Fails; Obama Warns of Gov't Employee Layoffs

Hooray. The mini-stimulus bill that is designed to extend unemployment benefits and give $24 billion to states was defeated in the Senate.

Obama warned of government employee layoffs if states don't get the cash. I think he unknowingly is helping cause its defeat with that argument.
