Madison, WI Schools Close; Teachers Walk Out

Teachers in Madison, WI, upset with Gov. Walker's proposal to balance the budget by forcing teachers to pay a portion of their pensions and health care costs, all called in sick, forcing the schools to close altogether.

This is precisely why even FDR thought the American public would never go along with public employee unions. We should expect a lot more of this from unions, particularly at the state and local levels.
