French Whine

I had to shed a tear while reading the Wall St. Journal this morning. French Cote du Rhone wine sales to the U.S. have slid 30% since 2001. Overall French wine exports to the U.S. have dropped 17% in 2003 and another 4% in 2004, according to the French Federation of Wine and Spirits Exporters.

Perhaps now we now know the real reason for Chirac's charade last week of making nice with Bush.
