A Great Suggestion for the Nobel Committee

I know this is a couple days old, but it's a great suggestion from a former editor of the Christian Science Monitor. John Hughes proposes that Bush and Blair be selected for the Nobel Peace Prize.

They deserve it for ridding us of Saddam Hussein, undoubtedly one of the world's worst tyrants and mass murderers since Adolf Hitler, and for triggering a wave of democratic stirring throughout Islamic world.

Everyone knows that the Nobel Prize is a bit of a joke - come on - Jimmy Carter, Kofi Annan and Yasser Arafat can win the prize, but Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, who freed millions of people from the chains of communism, cannot?

Fidel Castro probably has a better chance of winning the prize than George W. Bush, but recognizing Bush and Blair could actually make the Prize meaningful again.
