Harold Ford is Done

Harold Ford, Jr., running for the U.S. Senate from TN, has very successfully portrayed himself as a disciplined, moderate Democrat. While he appears very articulate and polished, his judgement is perhaps one of the worst on Capitol Hill. RedState has the video of the beginning of his demise. This poor judgement was also why his staff has routinely criticized his sophomoric behavior (which included drunk dialing his press secretary at 3 am to get cheesesteaks and hitting on the young women of the Hill). The most telling part of his poor judgement was when he had a primetime speaking spot at the Democratic National Convention in 2004. However, Ford decided to make some freelance edits of his speech and the DNC pulled his spot from him.

If Ford kept his mouth shut and out of the spotlight, he had a chance. Unfortunately, this is not possible for Harold Ford. And that's why he will not win in Tennessee.
