Michael J. Fox's Controversial Political Commercial

This is the best post I've read on the Michael J. Fox commercial in support of Missouri Democratic Senate candidate Claire McCaskill. Because Fox is a "victim," no one is allowed to disagree with his position, despite his misleading implication that he (or others with Parkinsons) could be cured through federal funding of stem cell research.

The one thing that I didn't realize earlier was that this is all about Amendment 2, a ballot initiative to outlaw human cloning in Missouri. The disingenuous part on Michael J. Fox is that he claims that outlawing cloning would limit embryonic stem cell research. He also falsely says that Jim Talent's support for the law would criminalize stem cell research. But Fox is a victim and therefore is off limits to anyone who challenges his false assertions.
