Why Does Page Need a Lawyer??

Foleygate seems to be getting more like Plamegate with each passing fact (except that he was right to resign because what he did was sleazy and unethical). But as Drudge is reporting, this seems like it might well have been a teenage prank.

More importantly, the page in question, Edmund Jordan, just hired Timothy McVeigh's lawyer, Stephen Jones. One has to wonder why the victim here would need a lawyer. Yes, it's possible that he wants to be sure he is protected or perhaps even look for a monetary settlement. But it also seems possible to me that this page had a key logger of some sort and was secretly recording the messages of Congressman Foley. The secret recording of a phone call with someone without the other party's knowledge is criminal, as (I believe) is the recording of IM conversations. It's possible that the only one who broke a law here is the page. (Although as I said, the sleaze still resides with Foley.)
