Does McCain Have Too Much Military Experience?

Former Democrat Sen. Tom Harkin now seems to think that it is not good for a U.S. president to have too much military experience, since civilians are supposed to run the Defense Department. From Red State.

Hmm...I don't remember this argument being used when George Bush was running against Kerry in 2004.
