Graham: Amend the Constitution to Overrule Court

Lindsey Graham said that he will push for a Constitutional amendment to overturn the Court's decision to give habeus corpus rights to foreign terrorists.

“The American people are going to wake up tomorrow and be shocked to hear that a member of Al Qaeda has the same constitutional rights as an American citizen,” said Graham.

“[Even] the Nazis never had that right.”

Although I agree with Graham's approach, it will never happen. Democrats love the court decision because they hate the military and would prefer to check military power with politically appointed judges. Also, several members of the Supreme Court doesn't appear to have much reverence for the Constitution, so I'm not sure it would even help.
