Obama: China's Insfrastructure "Vastly Superior" to Ours

I kid you not, Obama said that China's infrastructure is now "vastly superior" to that of the U.S.

How's that for a combination of American non-exceptionalism and idiocy in the same breath? Does he not know that more than half of the country live in poverty without running water? Or does he know why so many people died in the 2008 Sichuan earthquake? (Hint: the city collapsed due to its poor infrastructure.)
