Dems Prove Again That Paygo is a Joke

The Senate is close to a nearly $100B deal that would fix the AMT, provide alternative fuel tax credits and give money to the Midwestern states that suffered floods this summer.

Of course, none of it is "paid for," which shows us again (after that $150B "stimulus package") that the Democrat idea of "Pay as you go" is simply an excuse to oppose Bush's tax cuts and nothing more. Don't get me wrong - the AMT fix is a very good thing. But since they have been in charge of Congress, Democrats have shown less fiscal discipline than the GOP of the previous four years.
