General Petraeus to be Honored at Superbowl

Well done, and you could say - about time! My cynical side is wondering why this is happening after GW has left office, but then I remembered that NBC has the rights this year. Oh yeah. While Petraeus absolutely deserves all the credit with Iraq's turnaround, it was GW who made it possible, and it is a shame that GW is not in office while this happened.

On the other hand, one could make the argument that while Iraq was clearly stable last year at this time, it's now been 2 years since the Surge so it's now more clearly a success.

Amazing that it's been two years since "General Betray US" and the Iraq Study Group and all that. They were all wrong, while one man had faith.

Move over Bruce. We have a real hero this year.
