Inauguration Cost of $75MM+: Where's the Outrage?
I distinctly remember back in 2000 and 2004 the media's focus on the cost of President Bush's inauguration. But in this economic crisis, which according to Obama and his fellow Dems is the worst crisis "since the Great Depression," no one seems to blink an eye at the $75MM+ price tag for the upcoming inauguration ceremonies. I guess they don't think the economic situation is that dire after all.
The media spends two weeks talking about the non-taxpayer funded wardrobe purchased for Sarah Palin during the campaign but couldn't care less about how much is being spent for their Messiah.

It's now up to $160MM and still climbing...

Given the mess on the mall and in DC, it would not surprise me if the cost were well north of $200 million, not including the lost economic productivity because of the city shutdown.
