Coke Can Cause Paralysis? You decide

Greek researchers have determined that drinking too much cola can cause hypokalemia which can cause paralysis in our muscles. Really?

First of all, I don't doubt what they found in this study, that two women, one who drank 3 liters/day, and another, who drank 7 liters/day experienced muscle fatigue after months of drinking these high levels of cola.

But I've gotta question a couple of things here. First whoever has time to drink 7 liters/day of anything has to be sitting on their behind a lot - this is going to cause fatigue. Second, too much excess in anything is probably bad for you. For example, everyone knows that eating fruits and vegetables are good for you right? Yes, but eating too much may not be. According to Dr. Ben Kim:

I have not met a single strict fruitarian of more than two years who didn't have significant health challenges. The most common challenges are dental decay, osteoporosis, wasting of muscle tissue, inability to maintain a healthy weight, chronic fatigue, skin problems, thinning hair, weakening nails, and excessive irritability.

The last problem I have in this study is that coke has been around for over a hundred years. There are literally billions of examples of case studies that says drinking a coke is just fine. Just look around you. Now here's this one Greek study that found that two women got sick after drinking coke all day long, and we're supposed to take it seriously?

Next they'll find that drinking a case of beer/day is bad for you.
