Congress Trying to Change BCS

Congress had a productive day of hearings yesterday, in which they urged college football to change from the BCS to a playoff.

I really don't care, but even if I preferred a playoff system, is this any place for Congress to stick its big nose? Aren't there a few other issues with which they might want to concern themselves? On second thought, maybe they should focus solely on college football...
