Dems Want Bailout of Minority Broadcasters

Another day, another desired bailout - this time of minority-owned broadcasters. According to House Majority Whip James Clyburn (SC),

“While many jobs are at stake, a more important principle — the government’s fundamental interest in promoting a diversity of voices, including service to underserved communities — is severely threatened.”

Forget for a second that the diversity angle is a canard because the message at most of these stations is the same message delivered every day at CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, et. al. More importantly, every broadcaster in the country (except for Rush Limbaugh) is in serious financial trouble because of an advertising slowdown. But I suppose Obama is in the mode of selecting winners and losers in our economy and the Democrat message seems to be that you will be rescued only if your skin is a certain color.
