Should The National Enquirer Get a Pulitzer Prize?

The American Thinker points out that the National Enquirer is planning to enter its coverage of the John Edwards lovechild story for a Pulitzer Prize.

While I believe there is no chance the committee will embarrass the Leftist media by admitting to the fact that only a tabloid dared to get the story right, I think the Enquirer deserves one. Looking at most of the "respected" media today, I think the National Enquirer stacks up quite well against them.
