Obama Solicitor General: Earn Less Money if You Don't Like Obamacare

Does anyone doubt why Americans despise the Obama administration? Neal Kumar Katyal, Obama's socialist solicitor general, has his position summed up nicely:

President Obama's solicitor general, defending the national health care law on Wednesday, told a federal appeals court that Americans who didn't like the individual mandate could always avoid it by choosing to earn less money.

Couldn't this be said of all of Obama's tax increases as well? Don't like paying high taxes? Earn less. Don't like having your money stolen by the government? Don't earn any. Not exactly the strongest defense of socialism.
