French, British Politicians Involved in UNScam

This probably won't surprise anyone who is rational, but a new Senate report to be released today shows that two leading opponents of the Iraq War were being bribed by Saddam through oil vouchers.
In findings being released today, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs permanent subcommittee on investigations charges that former French Interior Minister (and current French Senator) Charles Pasqua and British Member of Parliament George Galloway each received the right to market more than 10 million barrels of cut-rate oil from dictator Saddam's Oil Ministry between 1999 and 2003.

So what does Democrat Carl Levin have to say about all the corruption? "the United States and other U.N. Security Council members made a fundamental mistake in allowing Saddam Hussein to award oil-for-food contracts and issue oil allocations." That's right - it was our own fault (although it must not have been Bill Clinton's fault; Bush was probably at fault for this too). Nothing on the fact that those who opposed the war were being bought.
