Sen. Landrieu: It was all Bush's Fault

Echoing the typical Democrat, Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) stated that Katrina's problems were all Bush's fault. Even the fact that Louisiana's state government was completely inept and incapable of making a decision was Bush's fault. (She then went on to say, "but I'm not here to assign blame.") Along with that, Landrieu believes that New Orleans mayor's failure to utilize any of the hundreds of buses that ultimately were flooded to help evacuate citizens was also Bush's fault.

Statements that are so ridiculous are not the exception to Democratic argument these days. Unfortunately, they are the norm. And they're part of the reason it's so hard to have any positive view of Democrats. It's no surprise that they have quickly lost big in four elections in a row and are on pace to lose number five in 2006. My only question is how long the Republicans will take to realize that they are in complete control and start passing legislation that reflects it.
