48 Years and Counting

Robert "KKK" Byrd has now been in the Senate for 48 years and he's running for an unprecedented 9th term next election cycle. Poliblogger has it right when he says that 48 years is just too long to be in power - even if he is the duly elected official of the people of his state. I mean, how many pork projects can he attach his name to?
