IMF Calls For Higher Taxes

The IMF is calling for higher taxes in Latvia to cool off its surging economy. Unfortunately, the IMF seems completely clueless on what causes inflation.

Rather than slowing its economy through higher taxes, the IMF should simply advise Latvia to reduce excess liquidity - or better yet, just keep its mouth shut. The IMF typically does more harm than good to developing countries.
