Peru Votes Against Chavez

Peru has overwhelmingly voted for Alan Garcia, who campaigned for increasing ties and trade with the US. He is also very outspoken against Venezuela's dictator, Hugo Chavez. As he said:

The vote was a defeat for Chavez's expansionist plans that he is trying to implement in South America

Let's see how the left spins this. Somebody might need to hand Jimmy Carter a hanky.
