State Department Losing Latin America

Ollie North has a must read post today at Townhall, which shows the relative uselessness of the U.S. State Department. It appears that Nicaragua will soon fall again to Leftist strongman Daniel Ortega. Nicaragua would be just the latest domino to fall to a Marxist leader, with others not far behind. Notwithstanding the fact that this might make John Kerry happy (at least based on his positions to undercut U.S. efforts in the 80s), the U.S. State Department needs to wake up and actively join anti-Communist groups in their election efforts. That is, if we still want a democratic Latin America in the next decade.
