McCain's "Free Market Principles" on Global Warming

John McCain says that he is for "free market principles" in dealing with climate change. His cap-and-trade system allows the government to dictate how many emissions each company can produce. Then when the company goes above the "acceptable limit," it must pay additional money to the government.

Where I come from, this is called a tax increase. And since companies don't produce goods for free, they will pass along the higher taxes to consumers. The depressing thing is that there is nothing anyone can do about it since every candidate running for president is in favor of this ridiculous scheme.

The only "good" news is that it will not hurt service businesses. (Unfortunately for all you union members, it will certainly push more manufacturing jobs overseas since China has no intention of cutting its emissions whatsoever).
