Novak Thinks Powell and Hagel are Conservatives?

Bob Novak claims that it's only a matter of time before Colin Powell supports Barack Obama. That's not surprising. Nor is it surprising that Chuck Hagel is an Obama supporter. What I can't understand is why these "Obamacons," as Novak calls them, are supposedly conservative.

Bob Novak is one of the best journalists in Washington, but it's simply ridiculous to claim that "conservatives" are supporting Obama based on the profiles of Chuck Hagel and Colin Powell. Both are very liberal, dovish Republicans (but R in name only). How Novak believes these two guys qualify is way beyond me.
