Obama and Mortgage Lenders
What does Obama think of mortgage lenders? (In case you didn't know, he doesn't like them.) This is now a key part of his stump speech:
Let's just scratch Obama's very superficial surface on this. Now that Obama has the nomination wrapped up, he has fully engaged Jim Johnson to find him a running mate. The interesting thing is that Jim Johnson, former CEO of Fannie Mae was the king mortgage lender in the country. (Yes, that Fannie Mae that has been under investigation for several years for accounting fraud.) But somehow Obama's rules don't apply to himself or his campaign.
The top mortgage lenders spend $185 million lobbying Congress, and we wonder why Washington looked the other way when they were tricking families into buying homes they couldn't afford.
