Just as the government is saying they have to do it because it's a once-in-a-lifetime systemic financial crisis, here comes the government with a $25 billion auto industry bailout. McCain's worry about pork barrel spending? Obama's worry about the deficit (which is laughable anyway, with his spending ideas)? No worries, $25 billion seems to be the cost of pandering to win a state these days.

Disgusting. The die has been cast and the moral hazard is not good.
