Where is Congress?

Armageddon is practically here according to Pelosi, Bush, Bernanke, Paulson, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, John McCain,....

So if this is really that important,
1) Why is Congress off for 2 days for Rosh Hashanah?
2) Why did Pelosi not ask any of her friends or allies to vote yes?
3) Why did Barney Frank not get his fellow Democrats on the House Banking Committee to vote yes?
