Massachusetts Government Hates the Poor

Very interesting goings-on in Taxachusetts these days. On the one hand, there's Deval Patrick. This Obama buddy wants to sock it to the Massachusetts lower income folks by increasing their taxes on gasoline, alcohol, soft drink, and candy purchases. The other side, the Massachusetts legislature, also governed by Dems, agrees with tax increases on the poor, but just wants to do it via a higher tax on all sales, from 5% to 6.25%.

This is a battle of the far left socialites against another far left socialite. Kind of a heavy weight bout between Karl Marx and Lenin. But it's the exactly the sort of dilemma that Barack Obama would love to have. Either way he wins!

So which group dislikes the poor more? Yes, of course these tax hikes would affect everyone, but since we all know that poor people have a lesser income, it would impact them disproportionately more.

Isn't the headline above what it would say if GW Bush were thinking of hiking taxes, instead of Obama buddie Patrick, or a democratic MA legislature? Think so.
