Stronger Insurers Want Nothing To Do With TARP

There was much ado about several insurers getting approval to participate in TARP last Friday. But according to the WSJ, the strongest of the companies, including Prudential and Ameriprise, have decided to reject the funds. Can anyone blame them? Only the weakest of financial companies would want to be impregnated by the U.S. government.
