Al Gore's Officially On the Clock

In a recent speech, Al Gore said:

there is a 75 per cent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within five to seven years.

First a 75% chance is pretty high. Second, if he's right, I think that means that ocean levels will rise, and most of mankind will be underwater by 2014-2016.

Just for the record, most climatologists don't agree with Gore's made-up figures. Seems climatologists are much more comfortable with predicting conditions on a 50 year basis. That way, if they're wrong, 50 years is a long time to forget. However, if people predict the end of the world in five years, they'll usually come out looking like idiots.

Let's see if he's right. He's on the clock.
