Kentucky GOPer Higdon Wins in Overwhelmingly Dem District

In a Kentucky district that is overwhelmingly Democrat by a 2-1 margin, GOP state senate candidate Jimmy Higdon was able to nationalize the race by making it a referendum on the Democrats in Washington.

The result: Higdon won by 12 points.
