Alan Simpson, Obama's Republican Tax Collector

Imagine this: a president calls upon a retired senator to help head a commission that by design, will give Obama the excuse he needs to dramatically raise taxes (all while he continues his taxpayer shopping spree).

Meet reality and Alan Simpson, hater of all tax cuts, who by accepting this sham of a "bipartisan commission" (where Democrats outnumber Republicans), has given Obama his fait accompli.

Within a few months, the commission will issue its report - and the result will be that we are headed for an apocalypse unless Obama raises taxes. Don't be surprised it they also talk about how President Bush was irresponsible for cutting taxes in 2003...
