Democrats "Talking Points Memo" with Pope?

Radio blogger has a post on a new memo written by Democracy Corps, the firm of James Carville, Bob Shrum and Stanley Greenberg. According to a report by the Washington Times, the memo entitled "Reclaiming the White Catholic Vote," shows statistics on how much ground Republicans have gained on Democrats with the key constituency.

"As the world's attention is focused on Pope John Paul II," writes Jim Gerstein, Democracy Corps executive director, in an e-mail announcing the memo, "I thought you may find the survey useful, along with an extensive report by Stan Greenberg and Matt Hogan, who look at the different attitudes among the various blocs of white Catholic voters."

With all the talk of a "Republican talking points memo" (which appears to have been fraudulent) on the Schiavo case, it's interesting that the death of a Pope would be considered an opportune time to distribute one for the Democrats.
