Will the Clintons Be Taken Down?

For those of you not too familiar with the story, David Rosen, who was Hillary Clinton's finance chairman during her 2000 Senate race, is being indicted for fraudulently mis-reporting the costs of a Hollywood gala, which artificially increased Hillary's available "hard money" for her campaign.

Along comes Ted Kennedy's brother in law, Raymond Reggie, who was wearing a wire for the Feds as a plea bargain for his own legal problems with bank fraud. At a steak dinner, David Rosen appears to have implicated himself and appears to have spoken with the Clintons regularly about his fund raising.

Dick Morris speculates that David Rosen might plea bargain with the Feds for more information against Hillary, although I wouldn't count on it. The Clintons have been able to beat the rap on all of their past charges, and with the media solidly behind them, I'm sure they will beat this one too. As an example, yesterday's Today show mentioned the story with their on-screen tag line "Campaign Against Hillary." Even one of the prosecutors seems to go out of his way to protect Hillary.

I guess Kennedy's brother-in-law is part of the neo-right wing conspiracy.
