The Democratic Party Toes McGovern's Line

After reading Reagan's inaugural address and reading today's post by George McGovern, it should be a mystery to anyone why the Democrats have lost five straight elections. Unlike Reagan, Democrats are neither the party that desire military or economic strength or promote freedom around the world. Even JFK, who declared we should "pay any price" for freedom, does not resonate with McGovern, who is the template for today's Democrats.

His strategy comes down to this: get out of Iraq, ask the UN for help and never try to promote freedom again - it's just not worth it.
