One Brief Thought on Hastert

One final thought on Foleygate: if the GOP forces Hastert to step down, they are completely insane. They forced out Tom DeLay despite the fact that Harry Reid has done worse (accept Abramoff contributions, free boxing tickets and helped a lobbying firm that employed his sons). What did it get the GOP? Nothing except more fodder that they are corrupt. The same will happen if Hastert goes. Corrupt Democrats don't resign and never pay a price. For once, the GOP needs to act a little more like Democrats.
