EU Trying to Brainwash Public by Adding Medal Count

Some in the EU would like to publish an EU total of medals won during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The idea would be that:

a certain pride in Europe could be created, and an urgently needed positive perception could arise.

George Dutlik, head of the EU Commission in Vienna added:

If all the EU members' medals in the 2004 summer Olympics in Athens were added up, the EU would have a better count than the United States, Russia and China combined.

He forgets to mention that the EU has 25 countries and so, for example, can send up to 75 athletes to the 100 meter dash. The US can only send 3.

If this is what the EU needs to feel positive about itself, then so be it.
