Jim Webb: McCain Should "Calm Down" on Military Service Talk

VA Democrat Sen. Jim Webb plays his part in a clever attack on McCain after Wesley Clark impugned McCain's military service.

"And John McCain's my long-time friend, if that is one area that I would ask him to calm down on, it`s that, don't be standing up and uttering your political views and implying that all the people in the military support them because they don't, any more than when the Democrats have political issues during the Vietnam War. Let's get the politics out of the military, take care of our military people, or have our political arguments in other areas."

So Wes Clark attacks McCain. Obama pretends to be above the fray by saying he doesn't approve of attacks on anyone's patriotism (especially his own). Then Webb says McCain should shut up and quit reminding people of his military service.

Unbelievable. Apparently Webb doesn't remember John Kerry's campaign. Or his own campaign for that matter, who reminded voters of his military service in every political ad he ran. But McCain shouldn't be allowed to do so.
