Deval Patrick: Salary Hikes for Government Employees

I don't remember salary increases for government employees being a campaign promise of Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick. But a 3% hike on their average salaries of $83K is what they'll be getting. Never mind that MA is running a deficit.

I guess Deval is taking a page out of big buddy Barack Obama. Everyone has to make a sacrifice in a tough economy, except government workers.
