ACLU Says No to Naming Park After John Paul II

Harris County, Texas officials want to name a park after Pope John Paul II, but the ACLU is objecting, saying that it unfairly promotes a particular faith. This would not be the first time a park was named after the late pontiff; Massachusetts did so in 1980.

Perhaps the ACLU would be more comfortable with the Mohammed Atta park.
