Michael Steele Picking Up Steam

Maryland Republican Michael Steele is gaining momentum in his race for the U.S. Senate (he mopped up opponent Ben Cardin in a debate on Meet the Press Sunday). This despite the fact that Dems outnumber Republicans 2-1 in the state. As Powerline notes, the Washington Post has moved from trashing George Allen to Michael Steele.

Steele just got the endorsement from Wayne Curry, a prominent black Democrat in Maryland. And Steele's ads are great. Check out this one (the second one).
