Exxon Mobil: Profits and Taxes

Obama might try to use the example of Exxon Mobil's profits to support his Jeremiah Wright-inspired thesis of "white folks' greed runs a world in need," as Exxon generated $11 billion in net income last quarter.

What Obama (or anyone else) doesn't mention, however, is that Exxon generated over $32 billion in taxes for the government. John Hawkins has the breakdown.
